Gado-Gado also known as lotek is a popular Indonesian salad, this dishes It consists of boiled with fresh vegetables such as cabbage, spinach, carrots, green beans and served with a peanut sauce dressing, Gado-gado is widely sold in almost every city of Indonesia, Gado-gado is widely available from hawkers' carts, stalls (warung) and and restaurants  in Indonesia; this dishes is also served in Indonesian-style restaurants worldwide. Though Gado-Gado is customarily called a salad but the peanut sauce is a larger component of this dishes, Okay in this chance i will try to give some steps on how to make gado-gado recipes that you can try at home

How To Make Gado Gado Recipe


1 cup bean sprouts
1 cup grated carrot
2 cups spinach leaves (sliced)
1 cup green beans (sliced)
3 head cabbage thinly (sliced)
1-2 hard boiled eggs (sliced)
Sauteed tofu

Peanut Sauce Ingredients:

1 cup roasted peanuts
1 kaffir lime leaf
3 spoon sweet soy sauce
2 cups water
1 spoon fresh lime juice
2 garlic cloves
2 finger length chilies  (deseeded and sliced)
1 bird's-eye chili (deseeded and sliced)
1" ginger (peeled and sliced)

  1. First, Make the peanut sauce by coarsely grinding the garlic, chilies, peanuts, and kencur in a mixer.  
  2. Then add a little water and then mixture until smooth  
  3. Add the peanut mixture, lime leaf, sweet soy sauce, salt, and water to a saucepan 
  4. Boiled in medium heat and stirring occasionally
  5. Blanch green beans cabbage carrots bean sprouts  spinach
  6. Arrange the salad on a serving dish Add eggs or tofu and add  few spoonfuls of the Gado-Gado sauce. 
  7. Place into serving dish and Eat while warm.
