Prep Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 30 mins Total Time:  60 mins Serves: 5 servings

  • 2.4 lbs carrots  (peeled and sliced into matchsticks)
  • 2 1/4 cups vegetable broth
  • 3 tbsp. maple syrup, or to taste
  • 1 large onion, (sliced in half)
  • 3 or 4 garlic cloves (peeled  and sliced in half)
  • Hawaiian black lava salt
  1. First, add the vegetable ingredients broth in a large skillet and then bring to a boil over high heat. Add whole garlic cloves and the onion, Stir in the carrots. 
  2. Then, Continue to cook over medium heat and don't forget to stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove the garlic and onion. 
  4. Stir in maple syrup, add 1 tbsp. at a time until you reach your desired sweetness.
  5. And then cook for 15 minutes until almost all the liquid in ingredients is gone.
  6. After has been cooked, Place into serving dish and garnish with the black lava salt!
